Our Story

The idea for Pug Café started brewing in 2021, during one of the most painful chapters of our lives, the heartbreaking loss of our son, Eric. Grief changed everything. And as the years unfolded, life kept throwing curveballs, including unexpected layoffs. But in 2024, holding our rainbow baby Olivia, we knew it was time to stop waiting and start building something rooted in love, healing, and purpose.

Coffee has always been part of our comfort ritual. So we teamed up with local Canadian roasters to craft something truly special: premium beans, roasted in small batches in Barrie, Ontario. Every cup is designed to spark connection. Whether it's a moment of peace alone, or a catch-up with someone who just gets you.

At the center of it all is Mavis, our wildly lovable pug and emotional support bean since 2017. She’s the heart of this brand, a little messy, full of personality, and endlessly comforting. Yet like coffee, she’s always there when it matters most.

Pug Café is more than a coffee company. It’s a reminder that even in the darkest seasons, joy and connection are still possible. Spreading warmth, one cup at a time.
